Small daily actions for big impacts
Ligabue Group is striving to help protect our working environment, the sea, and our home, planet earth. That is why we provide guidelines on reducing plastic pollution and carbon footprints, to all our employees.
REDUCING PLASTIC PACKAGING
Ligabue Group cares about the earth and the sea. Our focus is to reduce pollution from plastic by ensuring sustainable consumption and production processes. We require our suppliers to comply with the following requirements:
- No plastic packaging
- Water in recycled plastic bottles or alternative materials
- Sustainable packaging
MEATLESS MEALS
We encourage the planning and consumption of at least one meatless meal per month for two main reasons:
- Health – a healthy, balanced diet with less meat is best and carries less risk of heart problems, diabetes, and cancer
- Climate – it has been calculated that the water footprint derived from meat production for food has a very powerful impact. Skipping just one meat meal every Monday for a year is comparable to saving the equivalent of a 560 km drive in CO2 emissions.
Local Economies
Ligabue Group encourages the use of local products, choosing to buy locally grown products, and respecting the seasonality of fruits and vegetables.
